What’s the most interesting thing about you that’s not on your resume?

Outside of my job, I am a bass player, playing for a formidable band. I suppose this is the most interesting thing about me.

Tell me about a time when you had to get to the root cause of a problem to make a decision.

During commission of the Multiple preheater system in Kazakhstan, one of the control damper was stuck frequently when given an open command from the SCADA and eventually would not open. Upon inspection and taking the damper out in order to determine the problem, I then found that it was catching on the flanges due to poor welding. I instructed that the boilermaker grind flush the flange in order to allow free movement of the damper blade, and the problem was resolved

What are the three things that are most important to you in a job?

Going to sites and solve technical problems for the client and keeping the client happy. Working with a team of creative individuals, where we share ideas. My work creates growth and it brings the best out of me.

What are your strengths?

One of my greatest strengths I’ve acquired during my education is good analytical and planning skills. Full commitment to my work. Highly energetic. Having good interpersonal skill

What are your weaknesses (e.g. most important blind spots / developmental needs identified)?

I use to have trouble with procrastinating, now I have learned to write down a list of things that I need to do, and keep a calendar to keep track of deadlines. I have found that this not only helps me to finish things on time, but it also helps me to be more organized. I  have to work on having more patience and giving myself a break, because I always want everything done at once. I’m too focused on work and need to develop some after-hours hobbies. Fortunately I have found a hobby by playing a bass guitar with a formidable band
