10+ years (Metallurgy and Foundries) General / Sales and Marketing Manager (MBA) seeks a strategic Senior Management position at a company that is at the forefront of their industry and values the importance of their employees. Ref: 1090178

As Sales and Marketing Manager he is responsible for growing the company’s market presence and increasing sales and profit. Ideal responsibilities: More involvement in strategy or business development, formulating and successfully implementing company policy; directing strategy towards the profitable growth & operation of the company; developing strategic operating plans that reflect the longer-term objectives and priorities established by the board and maintaining an ongoing dialogue with the Chair of the board.

Achievements: Since being appointed as Sales and Marketing Manager he has managed and maintained a steady, annual sales increase of 37%. Took charge of the development and expansion of the company, successfully identified and penetrated an entirely new product market thus growing the business, lowering business risk and increasing revenue and profit. As General Manager he identified and rectified a problematic defect called Carbon flotation found in a range of sand castings which resulted in a decrease of scrap from 8% to 2%, a radical cost saving for the Foundry. He helped design and install an upgraded sand reclamation plant which led to a direct, annual production cost reduction of 8% and reduced production time of castings (on average 13% saving on moulding time).
