Execution of assigned work in accordance with the applicable Project Procedures and Standards, including the Companies and/or Project Procedures on Safety and Quality Control, within the man-hour and cost budgets and the project schedule targets.

Develop specification and prepare material requisitions for control systems (SIS and BPCS), Fire & Gas system, instruments, control valves and all other instrumentation.

Develop functional specifications and design philosophies

SIL Reviews, HAZOP studies, Risks reviews, PID Reviews, Model reviews, PDA’s, etc.

Review Vendors quotations, prepare technical quotation evaluation and recommend the final technically acceptable Vendor

Technically approve Order Variation Summaries, review and approve Vendor documentation

Liaise effectively with other departments and the client as necessary.

Management of vendors and contractors to meet project delivery and quality

Current and most recent projects consists of:

  • various vessels, and reactor pumps to produce wax. The purpose of the project was to add a Train B to the existing system. Work as Instrumentation engineer on site to assist with design queries and technical queries.
  • 12 tanks and an extensive piping route to transfer Gasoline, Diesel and Jet fuel to either another tank, to be recycled or to be transferred to a shipping berth and from the shipping berth back to a tank. Completing the detail design and assisting with the construction work.
  • vessels (bullets) and 4 pumps. The bullets are used to create a buffer storage for propylene. I was responsible for the detail engineering using Intools design package which included the procurement of all instruments and valves, IS calculations, SIL verification using Exida software, control narratives, Cause and effect diagrams, alarm management schedules site support during installation, signing off on the loop drawings, cable block diagrams etc and end of job documentation.
