1. Primary purpose of current/most recent position:

I am currently responsible for fulfilling 3 roles. Firstly, I project manage our largest account from beginning to end. This includes forecasting stock, freight, warehousing, local logistics and managing the install of all fittings. I also oversee the operations of the business. This involves managing the administration clerks, forecasting of stock, managing our freight forwarders, managing the warehouse, managing our local couriers and reporting to the group EXCO. I have recently also been appointed to head up and launch a new technology product in South Africa. At present this resembles a startup business. Everything needs attention from finding clients and pricing models to company structure, organisational structure and implementation.

2. Core elements or functions that must operate effectively in order to achieve primary purpose:

Operations management involves planning, organizing, and supervising processes and making necessary improvements for higher profitability. The adjustments in the everyday operations have to support the company’s strategic goals, so they are preceded by deep analysis and measurement of the current processes.

I am a business-minded Engineer with the drive and ability to learn new tasks quickly and with great ease. I am analytical and precise. I collaborate well with small or large teams to implement successful problem-solving strategies. I have achieved highest awards academically and believe exercise is crucial to remain focused as a professional and to stimulate drive for success.

Opened a carwash as a side line business and sold the business within 9 months for a 100% return on investment.
Started a property investment company that owns 5 residential homes.

Complex problem solving. I enjoy analysing data and finding trends that drive efficiencies and overall performance.
