Primary purpose of current/most recent position:
– The day-to-day running of the C&I department in the Johannesburg office comprising approximately 23 Engineers and Technicians, as well as the responsibility for C&I engineering in the remaining branches in South Africa and on projects in the sub-saharan region executed out of RSA.
– The implementation of appropriate strategies to meet the company’s overall objectives; developing and maintaining appropriate manpower capability, capacity and talent;
– Implementing appropriate business processes, procedures, policies and standards;
– Managing relationships with other departments and both internal and external clients;
– Ensuring systems, infrastructure and practices are developed, maintained and/or applied in order to ensure technical/engineering quality within the Control and Instrumentation Engineering discipline.
– Acting as Lead C&I Engineer, alternately Project Engineering Manager on certain projects
