I am the Sales Rep for Africa selling their Mineral Sizers, Apron Feeders and IPCC/IPSC (In-Pit Crushing & Conveying Systems/In-Pit Sizing & Conveying Systems looking after Africa and South Africa
I have knowledge of various Mining and Quarrying Applications and Processes that I have gained from experience over the years
My main focus is the corporate clients, Key Accounts, Project Houses, Mining Houses and Independent end users
Quotes, tenders and negotiations
Compiling and analysing GA Drawings, Process Flow Diagrams
Liaison between customers, manufacturing, OEM Factories around the world and Management departments
Identify and assist with appointment of new distributors in the relevant countries in Africa.
Handling Client and Customer queries and complaints
Technical recommendations to customers and clients
Cold calling for new business and maintaining existing client base
Gathering of market intelligence
Gathering and recording competitor intelligence
Marketing of our products along with the Marketing Assistant on the design of adverts and where to publish them etc

Building and maintaining long term customer relationships with consulting engineers, project houses, mining houses, construction and mining customers i.e. Exxaro, Kumba Iron Ore, Canyon Coal, Assmang, Izimbiwa Coal, Mbuyelo Coal Glencore Xstrata, DRA, Worley Parsons, Hatch, Senet, SGS Bateman, JHDA, SNC Lavalin, Dangote Industries, Lafarge, Randgold, Morupule Colliery, Anglo Gold, Anglo Coal, Anglo Platinum, Anglo Gold Ashanti etc.
Cold calling on small to large businesss and consulting engineers to acquire new business opportunities.
Selling into and calling on different commodities i.e. Gold, Diamonds, Norite, Dolerite, Dolomite, Platinum, Tanzanite, Bauxite, Granite, Limestone, Manganese, Iron Ore, Coal industries, Copper, Mineral Sands etc.
Attending site meetings and tender meetings.

Compiling, Costing and completing tenders successfully by breaking them down into segments, mechanical, electrical and financial and ensuring that I cover the entire specification that the tender calls for and then submitting them on time.
Registering, reporting and updating the quotations register and registering of all new incoming quotations

Sold over R50 million of crushing and screening equipment within my 1st 2 years and sold 4 x horizontal screens to a large cement producer in South Africa. Also sold the first of it’s kind, a dual screen track mobile screen to a client in the limestone industry

To get out and sell and knowing that I have a responsibility to grow and sustain business for my company but also to know that i am doing the best to look after my family and knowing that i can offer my children a life that i never had
