Currently the Country Director for Power Utility Company(Zambia) Limited for Zambia & Mozambique leading the development of activities and projects in these countries.
Prior to this new appointment, he was an independent professional providing services to various Clients in the Power Industry focusing on a) business and performance management, b) capital programme management, c) project & construction management.
For 5 years he was the Managing Director of the Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation and Power Business Units at a major multi-disciplinary competitor in the first-tier construction sector in Southern Africa with more than 14 000 employees and the capability to manage a range of projects of any scale.
Prior to leaving Eskom after 26 years he held the Senior Executive leadership position leading the approximately 18 000 Megawatt generation and transmission capital expansion programme of Eskom being the 13th largest electricity utility in the world by generation capacity that serves 95 % of the electric power to South Africa and 45% to the African continent.
During the middle to end of the 90s he successfully managed one of the largest electrification programmes in the world.
