1. Primary purpose of current/most recent position:

Leading a project team of E, C and I Engineers to complete the E, C and I works on EPCM contracts in the minerals and mining industry.

Design work regarding the distribution network, infrastructure, automation and protection schemes of mines from High Voltage/ Medium Voltage Switchyards and downstream to MCC, PLC and network level.
Taking projects through from Feasibility Study stage, a compilation of budgets and scope and taking it through into execution and commissioning up to handover to the client teams.

7. Career summary:

As Senior Electrical Engineer working mainly on large EPCM type contracts in the mining and minerals sector.
13 years – lead engineer on the project.
Sectors in which I was involved in this time period include coal, copper, gold, platinum, iron ore and power generation.

My total mining and minerals experience adds up to 15 years, I started as an Engineer in Training in 2005 and worked in this environment for 18 months where after I worked as an Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer for 11 months before joining my current company in 2007 as an Assistant Electrical Project Engineer.

Creating value for my clients in providing them with fit-for-purpose solutions that meet their expectations/ requirements and through a good track record building an industry name for myself and building a professional network.
