Expertise in metal packaging coatings and their applications. Knowledge of various metal packaging manufacturing processes (food and beverage cans, monobloc aerosol cans, wine and food closures). Basic knowledge of metal packaging coating and ink formulations. Basic understanding of lithographic and dry-offset printing processes. Experience in writing technical reports and troubleshooting/problem solving.
Equipment knowledge:
Chemistry: HPLC, UV-Vis spectrophotometry, pH and
Conductivity meters, extensive wet chemistry analysis, ICP-OES, AAS, DSC, GC and FTIR, Anton Paar Penetrometer and Karl Fischer Moisture content analyzer.
Coatings and Inks: Duncan Lynch printing, Olympus Microscope, Taber Abraser (scuffing resistance), Sheen Scratch Tester, Altek Slip Meter, Sencon (Enamel Rater and film weight).
